Colgate Palmolive

Flowcrete India recently collaborated with Colgate Palmolive to provide flooring for a brand new toothbrush manufacturing plant in Sricity, Tada.

The company has acquired 25 acres of land on which to construct a state of the art toothbrush manufacturing facility, scheduled to open in mid 2015.

The client required a flat, level, anti-skid surface for its new plant due to the fact that polymer bristles used in the manufacturing process can fall on the floor and create a slippery surface.

With that in mind Flowcrete India provided a slip resistant, hardwearing finish across the 5,850 m² production and warehouse area.

This was achieved by applying the solvent free, epoxy based primer and base coat Flowprime. A 5mm thick layer of Flowtex PT was then laid down, followed by the anti-slip floor finish Flowcoat HS.

Flowtex PT is a heavy duty underlayment, ideal for a variety of chemical resistant and durable floor toppings in industrial environments that are subject to heavy traffic, impacts and chemical spills. Flowcoat HS is a high performance epoxy resin coating that can maintain its colourful finish in the face of intense industrial activity.

The installation was completed over the space of three months by Flowcrete’s licensed applicators and the client was delighted with the end result.
