Penver Products

Flowcrete India has supplied over 8,000 m² of high performance resin flooring solutions for the seafood producer Penver Products.

As an exporter of high quality seafood products to markets including the EU, Australia and the US, Penver Products required flooring for a new, state-of-the-art facility that would meet the hygiene standards demanded by national and international regulations. Penver Products chose Flowcrete for the project after undertaking an extensive specification process involving multiple suppliers.

To ensure compliance, Flowcrete India recommended flooring solutions from its HACCP International certified range, Flowfresh. This included: 940m² of Flowfresh RT in the anti-room & cold storage area; 2,677m² of Flowfresh MF in the production & processing zones; 910m² of Flowfresh SL in the dry processing & change rooms; and 275m² of both Flowfresh WR and Hydraseal DPM in the gutters, manholes and drain areas. Every system in the Flowfresh range includes the antibacterial additive Polygiene®.

Alongside the Flowfresh solutions, a variety of other Flowcrete systems were used to create an ultra-hygienic production environment. 2,020m² of the anti-fungal coating Stericote was applied on the walls and 1,200m² of coving was installed using Flowprime, Flowtex F1 Coving Mortar and Flowseal UV.

This flooring specification was ideal for withstanding the challenges that Penver Products would subject the floor to, such as steam cleaning, thermal shock, exposure to large quantities of water, exceptionally heavy equipment and very low temperatures.

Flowcrete India and its approved applicator completed the flooring project within a tight one-month deadline. Meeting this deadline was critical in order to avoid disrupting Penver Products operations.
