Reflecting the hospital’s core values of care and love, the client wanted patients to feel at ease from the moment they entered the hospital. The choice of flooring needed to meet the demands of sanitation, budget and aesthetics and with a proven track record of providing flooring systems to numerous facilities in the healthcare sector, the client chose Flowcrete India to recommend the ideal solution to its specifications.

100 m² of Flowshield SL was applied in the reception area, with a further 150 m² used in the operating theatre. This high-gloss, self-smoothing epoxy resin floor finish is perfect for use in healthcare environments subjected to heavy foot, trolley and rubber-wheeled traffic. Additionally, Flowshield SL is hygienic and easy to clean thanks to its seamless, impervious properties, making it suitable for both spaces that naturally have strict cleanliness requirements despite the different functionalities of each area.

While the operating theatre required Flowshield SL’s seamless, easy-cleaning and abrasion resistant characteristics, the client was able to employ its decorative potential and use elements of colour and pattern in the reception area. A bright and attractive interior feels welcoming over institutional; creating a calming environment that helps the healing process by reducing patients’ stress levels.
