When Sneha Farms Pvt Ltd. refurbished an existing building into a modern, worldclass, 6,000 BPH processing facility, it knew that it would be imperative to choose a long-lasting flooring solution that would meet strict regulatory demands while also providing a clean, hygienic environment to safeguard the quality of its produce.

The leading poultry processing company undertook a rigorous flooring specification process for its site in Addakkal, Hyderabad. After analysing materials from a number of suppliers, Sneha Farms chose to install a selection of high performance resin flooring solutions from Flowcrete India in order to optimise the floor in each area of its new facility.

During the seven-week installation project, 3,868m² of Flowfresh MF was used to coat the production and processing area. This system was chosen thanks to its hard wearing nature, which meant that it would retain an ultra-hygienic finish in the face of the site’s intense operational activity. Sneha Farms knew that during the course of the day the floor would be have to withstand a number of impact, chemical and temperature demands. 1,553m_² of Flowfresh RT was also applied in the anti-room and cold storage area, as the cold temperatures and levels of point loading it would be subjected to would not affect its seamless, impervious finish.

Every system in the polyurethane Flowfresh range incorporates the antimicrobial agent Polygiene®, which is able to eliminate up to 99.9% of bacteria in contact with the floor. The Flowfresh range is also HACCP International certified, which was an important factor for Sneha Farms - as it knew that it would need to surpass the standards of domestic organisations as well as the Export Inspection Authority, in order to export its produce to the EU, Australia and the US. To extend the hygienic properties of seamlessness and imperviousness around the site, 1,705m^₂ of the single component PU coating Stericote was applied on the walls.
