Flowcrete India Gears Up for Acetech 2012
12 May 2012
Car park decking, designer floor finishes and flooring that's ready for use just hours after application are just some of the systems Flowcrete India will be highlighting from its specialist retail flooring range at Acetech 2012.
Seamless floors of vibrant colour and interesting texture - including innovations such as Peran SL - a self-smoothing epoxy finish, Rustik - a decorative stone carpet and Mondéco - a lucury seamless terrazzo, will all be featured at the event, taking place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre between 18 - 21 October.
Flowcrete's innovative two-hour flooring concept Flowfast, the ideal flooring choice in the economic downturn, will also be previewed on our Stand Number K5.
Flowfast is the ultra fast-track resin system from the Indian flooring manufacturer, which is generally ready for use within just two hours of application.
Such fast installation capability cuts down on the cost of labour and means a retail environment can be fully operational after an overnight application programme, delivering significant cost savings for both new build and refurbishment projects.
Flowfast has been specified for major retail projects across the globe, and is recognised for its exception durability - offering longevity with minimal maintenance. Good looks are not compromised, with arange of colours and styles available, including a terrazzo type finish.
Vivek Margasahayam, managing director for Flowcrete India, said: "The freedom to choose something that's not just 'off the shelf' is one of the main reasons for architects and designers in the retail sector selecting resin surfaces."
"They deliver stylish floors that make a real statement underfoot - coupled with ease of maintenance."
For car park areas, Deckshield, Flowcrete's car park decking system, will also be featured at the event. Used to enhance and protect car parks, Deckshield has been used at retail centres globally, with clients including NCP, Westfield and Tesco.
Deckshield also delivers significant benefits in protecting the car-park structure, highlights Margasahayam. "Car parks, like no other structures, are subject to unique conditions. Constant traffic movement creates structural movement and long-term substrate deterioration. Also often fully exposed to the elements, car park structures have to contend with any number of harsh conditions."
These include high temperatures, extreme sunlight, UV exposure, low temperatures, freezing and thawing, high levels of rain and extreme temperature fluctuation. "All of these, in isolation or in combination with airborne water, salt and chemicals can damage the fabric of the structure. The resulting dynamic stresses will inevitably lead to the early onset of corrosion, cracking of the host concrete and potential structural failure," he says.
