Using state-of-the-art technology to deliver both freshness and flavour to the snacks, the client wanted to extend its sanitary standards to the flooring of the facility. Flooring specialists Flowcrete India were enlisted to help the client choose the ideal solution.
For the production hall, 6,800 m2 of Flowfresh RT was chosen, thanks to its incorporated antibacterial additive Polygiene®, which inhibits the growth of bacteria, fungi, moulds and mildew. The anti-bacterial property works alongside a regular cleaning regime to help to eliminate up to 99.9% of bacteria from the floor’s surface.
With minimal joints, Flowfresh RT is easy to clean and made for areas that are regularly exposed to wet conditions. With high chemical and heat resistance this floor finish would not be affected by harsh cleaning chemicals, sugars from spilt produce or steam cleaning. The client also specified high durability to withstand mechanical stress from the production machinery, and abrasion resistance from foot or wheeled traffic.
For the packaging area, 3,500 m2 of Flowfresh MF was used. Being more suited to dry or semi-wet processing areas, this flooring system has the same antibacterial properties as Flowfresh RT, but its high abrasion resistance makes it a perfect solution to areas of point-loading or transporting finished produce.
The application process was completed after just two months, and Haldiram’s could introduce its staff to the freshly finished and ultra-hygienic facility.
