Following an earlier installation of Flowfresh, a high performance floor finish, at its plant in Java, Indonesia, Givaudan opted for the same system for its new facility in Daman, India. Hygiene, durability and ease of cleaning were of equal importance for the 3,000 sq metre production area.
The hard-wearing polyurethane Flowfresh system is able to withstand heavy machinery and wheeled traffic while the seamless finish provides a joint-free hygienic surface. A unique natural antimicrobial additive known as Polygiene® is incorporated into the Flowfresh resin mix which delivers total protection against a range of bacteria including MRSA, SARS, E-coli and Salmonella Typhi, remaining active for the lifetime of the floor.
High chemical resistance is an added benefit in an environment where exposure to organic acids, solvents and oils are commonplace.
Available in formulations suited for dry processing and wet production zones, Flowfresh also offers superior thermal shock properties able to withstand the conditions encountered in chiller rooms and hot, wet areas where frequent washdowns may be required.
